Happy. Hallow. Ween...

Hey all... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This week was fabulous. Monday night our investigator 'B' fed us chicken, noodles and mashed potatoes... It was SO DELICIOUS!!! And she is SO ELECT! We can only see her once a week because of her crazy schedule  but she has such a great desire to learn:).

We are so cute... :)

Also, we saw our friend 'R' every day this week. She even came to church Sunday (it was her third time)! We taught her about the law of tithing on Saturday and then the next day she brought her pennies to church and was like, "I have my pennies! How do I donate?" It was so cute!! She said, "I need the blessings!" Her faith is increasing so much, her countenance is changing and she is so much happier!!! It makes me so happy to see the change in her because of the gospel. Love it... love it... love it!!!

Friday I went on exchanges with Sister Bennett, the new sister in Anderson and she is wonderful!!! We just had the greatest day and it was so fun getting to know her!

Sister Dustup had a caterpillar on her forehead... say what?????

Saturday the elders had a baptism! 'L' is so funny, and we have become very good friends with her! Sister Cook and I got to do the missionary presentation so we were able to attend and IT WAS AWESOME!

"L's" baptism!

We have met so many elect people... I wish I had more time to talk about them all! Why is it that I always seem to be running short on time? Lol

Our recent convert 'T' and his adorable son, 'B.'

I hope you all have a fabulous week and a happy halloween!!!!!!

Missionary work is the greatest, and this gospel is the greatest. I am so happy to be here in Muncie with Sister Cook and to be sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone!

Not sure why this photo is SOOO BLURRY!!!

"Robinhood!"

Hey all!

This week has been incredible. Sister Cook and I saw so much grace, it was insane!

Us with the Activity Day girls!

Oh, by the way, Sister Cook is my new companion! She is 24 years old, graduated from Utah State, taught six graders for a year and is literally the sweetest person ever. She is just such a light to everyone we talk to and it is so fun being her companion!! We have learned a lot from each other already... She is FABULOUS!

A limerick and treat we left for our Muncie 1st Ward Sisters...

Anyways! We met a lot of cool people this week! One lady speaks spanish and her son was translating for us and it was so cool. She really wants to come to church... Unfortunately, work took her away from being able to come yesterday, but we will be seeing her later this week!

'R' came to church!! And loved it! We will be seeing her everyday this week, and we are extending November 12th for baptism! She is going through a lot right now and Sister Cook and I just know that coming to understand the gospel will bring her so much needed peace. I just love her a lot.

And 'B' is someone who SO DESPERATELY wants an eternal family and she knows she can only have that through the gospel of Jesus Christ, so we are going to help her prepare for baptism in November as well! She is feeding us dinner tonight, I am so excited!!

Oh, and 'T's baptism was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G last week and now we have started the new member lessons with him... SO PUMPED!!

Well, the Trunk or Treat Chili Cook-Off was this week and it was AWESOME. Also... We got to sit in a corvette! Kind of funny how that happened... We were getting ready to do service for one of our members and his neighbor pulled up and said we could sit in his car if we wanted   so we did! ha.

Me in a corvette... first and last time???

A very good week! Loved it! Love missionary work! Love my companion! Love my area! Love my sisters! Love Maddi Owen! haha.

Alma!!!

Have great week all!

Love, Sister Feil

P.S. My general letter is called 'Robinhood' because our church building is on Robinwood, but Sister Cook thought it was Robinhood - lol!

Transfers!!! Again??? Time is going WAY TOO FAST!

Well... It's been another busy week!

That's a groundhog...

I went on exchanges with Sister Eckstrom on Tuesday and an exchange with Sister Jones on Friday. Those were super fun!

Exchanges

We had interviews with President and Sister Welch on Wednesday and that is ALWAYS a good time. I certainly love those two! They are so focused on helping connect us more with God and it is just the encouragement that this mission needs! I love it!

Happy Fall!

Friday was fantastic. After an awesome exchange, we all gathered together at the church to set up for 'T's' baptism!! It was so special. His family was able to come, and Sister Hansen and Elder Swainston played a beautiful musical number. 'T's' sister, 'W,' said the opening prayer and prayed that he would only have to get "dunked one time..." And he did!

'T's' baptism!

He said the closing prayer, and it was short and sweet and he CRIED! He prayed for some touching things and was so thankful for his opportunity to be baptized and then he choked a bit  and we looked up and he was crying (only a little bit but still...)!!! 'W' said she had never seen him cry before, and she is his sister... haha. It was totally AMAZING.

We also had the privilege and opportunity to see him get confirmed and receive the priesthood. He is doing awesome!!!!

My shoes are inside his shoes...

Well...  This week is transfers AGAIN! Sister Hansen is leaving me:(. She is going to train someone somewhere in Kentucky.

We are the princess and the pauper

My new companion is Sister Cook! I haven't met her yet but I have heard great things so I am excited!! Transfer ten y'all, 'ere it comes!!!

PACKAGES!!!

The Church is true and the book is blue!

Love you all, Sister Feil

I'm going to miss my Sister Hansen!

Joseph of Arimathæa

Hey Everyone!!

So... I do not have lots of time, but I had such a miraculous week that I wanted to at least share a little bit!

This cute little girl wanted me to say a prayer at her baptism!!!

We had a Mission Leadership Conference on Tuesday and President Welch introduced to me someone in the Bible that I don't ever recall reading much about, and that is Joseph of Arimathea! We talked about developing the Spirit of Joseph and helping our missionaries in our zones to do the same.

In Mark 15:43-46 it says:

43 Joseph of Arimathæa, an honorable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
44 And Pilate marveled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

Joseph would not be denied! He was going to do whatever it took to receive the body of Jesus and give Him a proper burial. I'd invite you to study his character, how he craved the body, how he was bold. That is how we must be, whether a full time missionary or not!!

Sister Hansen and I have practiced this Spirit throughout the week and we found two new families to teach. And we have a single mother and her two children who are preparing for baptism, plus 'T' is scheduled OFFICIALLY to be baptized on Friday this week... SO MUCH GRACE!!!!

When we desire to do God's will and we stop at nothing until it is accomplished, then we are entitled to MIRACLES. MIRACLES PEOPLE!!!

We took someone's cigarettes...

I hope you all have a great week!!!

Love, Sister Feil

Oh! Oh! Oh... also!!!! Shout out to my HANDSOME new nephew ASHER who just entered into this world this week!!!! Congrats to my bro and SIL (: the luckiest people alive with the two cutest kids. okay I'm done.

SO. COMPLETELY. ADORABLE.

hoosier stadium yo!

Yo hello... This week has been incredible!

Us... being us!

Tuesday I was on exchanges with Sister Dustup, and we went and checked out this town called Daleville and it is the cutest little place... We had a lot of fun!

Me, Janie & Sister Dastup!

And then Wednesday was SISTER'S CONFERENCE! It was so good! Fort Wayne and Dayton Stake Sister Missionaries came to Muncie and we did yoga together and then had a conference. President and Sister Welch spoke, and my goodness they are so inspiring!!

Me.... and some of my favs at Sister's Conference!
Sister Slavens... It was SO GOOD to see her! This pretty sister was in my MTC group (:

A women's role is the most wonderful thing ever. We talked a lot about becoming masters of righteous thoughts in our own lives so that we can be happy and grow in our love towards others, therefore being able to love and help and influence others along their journey back to Christ. Ah! It's so fantastic.

Sister's Conference... yes.

I realized that I have truly seen Christ's Atonement working in my life as a missionary, and know it will continue to change me as time goes on! We must first learn to apply the Atonement ourselves before we can have any hope to help someone else learn to apply it to their lives. We need to live the doctrine that we believe, and that we teach!! It has to be a part of our everyday lives! And then we can truly be happy, and truly have JOY (one of the main subjects of this weekend's General Conference)!

Sister Hansen and I with the Welch's (our mission President & his cute wife)!

Anyways, I truly believe and know that we can only have joy through applying the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I would encourage you all to continually learn more about your next step in applying it! I can promise you it will bring you the sweetest JOY you could ever imagine!!!

Me and Maddi (a good friend from Muncie!)

Friday night we had a ward activity where we got to act out the Young Women's favorite Book of Mormon stories. That was super fun! And 'T' came with his little boy, 'B!' They loved it. We have been meeting with 'T' frequently this week because he is preparing to be baptized soon! Working with him has been so wonderful!!! I am so happy to watch as he makes changes in his life and sees the blessings that come from it. He has truly been prepared to accept the gospel at this time... and it has made him so happy! Gosh - I love it!

T & B
Isn't he just totally A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E?

And then Saturday and Sunday were General conference... Which were amazing! One talk that stood out to me was Elder Ballard's talk, when he asked the same question Christ asked His disciples, "Will ye also go away?" And Peter responded, "Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou has the words of eternal life and we believe and are sure that thou art christ, the Son of the living God!"

I hope and pray that I will always remember the goodness of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. When the Savior said He was going to leave, some left Him. But many faithful disciples stayed. They knew that the truth was within Christ and they were never going to leave Him. They would stick with Him till the end. I love that so much. I am thankful for this wonderful Gospel and the blessings it has brought into my life. I am forever changed because of it, and all for the better!

I love you all and hope y'all have a fantastic week!

WHY....???

Love, Sister Feil

PS. I have never seen the movie "Hoosiers" but we went to the stadium that part of that movie was filmed in... HECK YA!
